Biography
Mark Roemer is a true believer in the power of music to transform, heal and unlock deeper levels of consciousness and experience. After 20-plus years working at the intersection of gaming, tech, marketing, distribution, wellness and content creation, Roemer is utilizing music in new and groundbreaking ways as the co-founder and CEO of Realize Music. The company’s virtual reality singing app, Realize Music: Sing, transports the user into a gorgeous 3D world where your own voice powers an intimate, infinite journey into the creative spirit, set to nearly any song imaginable. That same desire to forge a deeper relationship with the music that inspires him led Roemer to self-confessed obsessive levels of Grateful Dead fandom, and is the reason he’s still a part-time radio DJ to this day.
Prior to Realize, Roemer was Global Head of Production at creative platform Genero, served in creative leadership roles at Ayzenberg with clients such as Xbox and Minecraft, crafted award-winning trailers for Guitar Hero, produced “Black Ops” marketing for Red Bull and was VP of Business Development at music distributor CD Baby and its offshoot Film Baby. He lives in Nelson, British Columbia with his family and his record collection.
