Q. Why did you choose to start this business in this industry?

A. I started Crowdaa because I saw a massive gap in the entertainment industry: creators, musicians, and influencers were building their brands on platforms they didn’t own—losing control over their audience, data, and revenue.

Social media platforms limit organic reach, take a cut of monetization, and dictate engagement. I wanted to change that. Crowdaa was born to empower creators, giving them the tools to build their own branded apps, own their fan relationships, and monetize without middlemen.

My background as a musician and a PhD in Cognitive Psychology specializing in Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing gave me the technical and creative insight to bridge technology and entertainment. With Jimmy Thomas, a multi-platinum record producer and music executive, on board, we combined deep industry knowledge with cutting-edge technology to revolutionize direct-to-fan engagement.

The music industry needed a solution where artists could engage their fans on their own terms—without worrying about ever-changing algorithms. Crowdaa is that solution. We’re shifting the power back to creators and redefining how artists connect with their audiences.

 Q. What qualifications do you and your management team have?

 A. Crowdaa’s leadership team brings a unique blend of deep tech expertise and music industry experience, making it the perfect bridge between artists and technology.

Vigile Hoareau, CEO & CTO, is both a musician and a technologist. With a PhD in Cognitive Psychology specializing in Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing, he has spent years developing AI-driven solutions for digital engagement. He is also an associate researcher at the Human and Artificial Cognition Lab at Université Paris 8, where he focuses on the intersection of AI and human interaction. His passion for decentralization and creator ownership is the driving force behind Crowdaa, ensuring artists have the tools to take full control of their audience and monetization.

Jimmy Thomas, Chief Content Officer, brings decades of experience from the music industry, having worked as a multi-platinum record producer for legends like Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Tupac, and The Notorious B.I.G. As a former executive at Def Jam and Motown, he has firsthand experience in shaping the careers of top artists and navigating the evolving landscape of fan engagement and monetization. His expertise in artist development and business strategy ensures that Crowdaa is built to serve the real needs of musicians and creators in today’s digital world.
