Carlos Freitas – Mastering & Immersive Audio Engineer

Carlos Freitas is a Grammy-winning mastering and immersive audio engineer with over 40 years of experience in the music industry. As the founder of Classic Master USA, he has worked on more than 100 Grammy-nominated albums, with 35 wins, and has become a reference in mastering and immersive mixing for Dolby Atmos.

Based in Miami, Carlos is also co-founder and CMO of Spatial9, a company at the forefront of immersive audio innovation. He has collaborated with Universal Music, Warner Music, and Sony Music, delivering high-fidelity mastering and cutting-edge immersive experiences for global artists.

Carlos has played a key role in the development of Dolby Atmos Assembler, working directly with Dolby Labs, and was also involved in the creation of Google’s new immersive audio format, Eclipsa Audio, in partnership with Google and Samsung.

At Miami Music Tech Summit, Carlos will bring his deep expertise in mastering and immersive audio to the panel, sharing insights on the future of spatial sound and its impact on the industry.
